Welcome to South Kent RaynetRAYNET are Radio Amateurs (We are based in South East Kent) We are able to provide reliable radio communications in emergency situations, when normal systems of communication have failed (for example mobile phone networks).South Kent Raynet are all volunteers and live locally in area, so know the area well. We attend many events in the local area, full dates can be found on our events diary.
RAYNET can be called out by 'User Services' - these are primarily the Emergency Services, such as Police, Fire and Ambulance services, volunteer services, St. John, British Red Cross and Local authority Emergency Planning Officers.
We also work closely with the other Raynet groups in Kent. Please take a look through our website for more information on what we do and what we can provide.
Our Group Controller Is John Wellard. Contact details can be found on the Contact us Page.
Pictured below is the South Kent Raynet Mast. The Trailer mast allows us to setup a base station at any location quickly and easily.
The picture was taken at Deal on the 24th July 2011 where it was used for communications for the Deal 10K Run.
Pictured Below - Anne G4RJZ in Raynet Contol for the Deal Moonlight walk 4th June 2011. We provided voice communications with our team out on the route, along with APRS Tracking for the front and rear of the walk.
